Procedures for Reconstructing the Foot and Ankle
When considering reconstructive procedures on the foot and ankle, which may require months of rehabilitation, one should seek a second opinion.
There is a multitude of types of procedures that can be performed that may be less intrusive and consequently require less healing time than others. In some instances, the pain that you are experiencing may be localized to a very small area that needs to be addressed.
Just because other areas surrounding it look poor on X-ray, it does not necessarily mean they need to be addressed surgically.
