Flat Feet
Procedures Can Range from Non-Invasive to More Complicated
Flat feet in children is commonly treated with a sub-taylor joint arthroresis implant. The procedure is very non-invasive and takes just about 15 minutes or less to complete. It is tolerated well in the vast majority of patients.
Proper evaluation of the range of motion of the lower extremity is important to ensure the patient is a proper candidate for this procedure.
Other procedures to correct a flat foot are numerous and require a number of more complicated procedures. This will require a significant amount of non-weight bearing activity after surgery.
