Bunion
Dr. Moy Performs More Bunion Procedures Than Any Other Doctor
A bunion is simply an outgrowth of bone on the side of your foot next to your big toe, while a tailor’s bunion is an outgrowth of bone on the side of your foot next to your baby toe.
People are not born with bunions, however they can inherit a particular foot structure from a relative that causes this problem to develop. High-heeled shoes do not create bunions, but tend to be one of the first styles of shoes that may aggravate one. People can develop bunions, regardless of whether they ever put a shoe on in their entire life.
The tight rope or IM banding is not a bunion procedure. It is an adjunctive step to any bunion procedure. When indicated we will implement this adjunctive step.
