Bone Tumors and Cysts

Proper Diagnosis is Important for Surgical Approach and Repair

The vast majority of tumors in the bone are benign. Bone tumors and cysts can lead to the weakening of the bone, and consequently fracturing of the bone.

When identifying these lesions, one needs to appreciate the dimension of the tumor and its location. CTs and MRIs are highly beneficial. Once the location is identified, surgical excision of the tumor is recommended and bone-grafting material is required.
