Other Conditions: Foot Neuroma
Often seen in patients who wear tight-fitting shoes, neuromas are caused by the swelling of a foot's nerve. Neuromas can begin with numbness and tenderness behind the 3rd and 4th toes, later leading to pain, numbness, burning and tingling sensations that circle the foot, sometimes accompanied by shooting pains.
